How to do Shoulder Press (Machine)

  1. 1Adjust the seat so the handles sit at about shoulder height and sit with your back flat against the pad.
  2. 2Grip the handles with an overhand grip, plant your feet, and brace your core.
  3. 3Exhale as you press the handles overhead until your arms are nearly straight without locking out hard.
  4. 4Keep your back against the pad and avoid shrugging your shoulders toward your ears.
  5. 5Inhale as you lower the handles under control back to the start; repeat for the prescribed reps.
