How to do Overhead Press (Dumbbell)

  1. 1Sit or stand with a dumbbell in each hand at shoulder height, palms facing forward or inward.
  2. 2Engage your core and maintain a neutral spine, avoiding excessive arching of the lower back.
  3. 3Inhale, then press the weights directly upward until your arms are fully extended without locking your elbows.
  4. 4Exhale at the top of the movement.
  5. 5Lower the dumbbells back to the starting position with a slow, controlled motion.
