Calf Raise (Machine) form, muscles worked, and workout tracking

The machine calf raise isolates the gastrocnemius and soleus muscles of the lower leg. It is commonly used to build calf hypertrophy and improve ankle stability through a controlled, full range of motion.

  1. 1Adjust the shoulder pads to your height and place the balls of your feet on the edge of the platform.
  2. 2Release the safety catch and lower your heels slowly until you feel a deep stretch in your calves.
  3. 3Exhale as you drive through the balls of your feet to raise your heels as high as possible.
