Ab Wheel form, muscles worked, and workout tracking

The ab wheel rollout is an advanced anti-extension core exercise that strengthens the rectus abdominis, obliques, and lower back. It is commonly used to build functional trunk stability and improve core bracing strength under tension.

How to do Ab Wheel

  1. 1Kneel on a mat and grip the ab wheel handles with your arms fully extended.
  2. 2Engage your core and tuck your pelvis to maintain a neutral spine.
  3. 3Inhale and slowly roll the wheel forward, extending your body while keeping your back flat.
  4. 4Roll out only as far as you can maintain tension without your lower back arching.
  5. 5Exhale and use your core to pull the wheel back toward your knees, returning to the starting position.
