How to do Incline Bench Press (Barbell)

  1. 1Set an incline bench to 30–45 degrees and lie back with feet planted firmly.
  2. 2Grip the bar slightly wider than shoulder-width and unrack it, holding it directly above your upper chest.
  3. 3Inhale as you lower the bar with control to your upper chest, keeping elbows tucked at a 45-degree angle.
  4. 4Exhale as you drive the bar upward to the starting position, focusing on squeezing your chest at the top.
  5. 5Maintain a neutral spine and avoid bouncing the weight off your chest.
