Weighted Bodyweight exercise

Pull-Up form, muscles worked, and workout tracking

The pull-up is a foundational compound movement that primarily targets the latissimus dorsi, rhomboids, and biceps. It is widely used to develop upper body pulling strength, improve back width, and enhance grip stability. The movement can be performed using bodyweight or with added resistance via a dip belt.

How to do Pull-Up

  1. 1Grip the bar slightly wider than shoulder-width with palms facing away.
  2. 2Hang with arms fully extended, engaging your core and retracting your shoulder blades.
  3. 3Inhale, then drive your elbows down to pull your chest toward the bar.
  4. 4Exhale at the top, ensuring your chin clears the bar without excessive swinging.
  5. 5Lower yourself back to the starting position with a slow, controlled motion.
